System Requirements:
- Email Protect and Control Add-On is a hosted service - there is no hardware or operating system to manage on-site and the services are compatible with any SMTP compliant mail server.
- Email and Web Protect and Control Add-On is also a hosted service which simplifies the need for hardware or operating system on-site. Options for the Web portion of the service exist to transparently redirect user traffic to the Symantec Hosted Services offerings, as well as integrate with existing Microsoft Web proxy infrastructure. An optional client site proxy for advanced policy and reporting is supported on Windows 2000/2003/XP operating systems with a single CPU, 256 MB RAM system requirement.
